MTV Channel (Private) Limited is dedicated to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 09 of 2022, as amended by Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act No. 22 of 2025, of Sri Lanka (the “PDPA”).

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed by MTV Channel (Private) Limited in connection with the Money Drop mobile application. Hereinafter, references to “MTV,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this Policy mean MTV Channel Private Limited.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal data, adhering to the principles of transparency, fairness, and accountability. This Policy applies to all individuals who download, install, or use the Money Drop mobile application. Furthermore, you should be aware that the mobile app may contain links to other websites, and services not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for such content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services. As such, we request you to review the policies of any third-party sites you may visit or encounter.

What is personal data?

By personal data, we refer to any direct or indirect identifier through which you, as an individual, can be identified including but not limited to - name, contact number, email address, online identifier and such other related data as defined under the PDPA.

We will process your personal data when we have a lawful basis/obligation for doing so. We are processing your personal data here on the basis of the consent you have given us via mobile application registration/login.

These measures include but are not limited to, the use of encryption to secure sensitive information, deployment of firewalls, and limiting access to personal data strictly to authorised personnel. While we strive to protect your data, you may be aware that no data transmission over the internet or any public network can be completely guaranteed for security, and as such, you do so with such knowledge at your own will.

You hereby agree that we will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws or regulations. When we no longer need your personal data, we will delete or anonymise it.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16 without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such data provided that we are aware of such use.
